In Haiti they like to have bigger families. Like usually 10 or more people in a family. Also sometimes the Grandparents step in to substitute for a missing or ill parent(s). Married couples may live closer to relatives because of this. The mothers are responsible for cooking, cleaning, and teaching their children religion and morality. Also, even though the husband makes and earns the money, the mothers are in charge of all of the household money.
